NBM Capital Markets Limited (NBM Capital) is a wholly – owned investment management subsidiary of National Bank of Malawi plc (NBM).
NBM Plc through its Financial Management Services (FMS) Department has been offering both fund administration and investment management services to pension funds in Malawi since 1971. However, in the wake of the Pensions Act, 2010 which requires the separation of fund administration from investment management services, the Bank formed two subsidiaries namely, NBM Capital Markets Limited and NBM Pension Administration Limited (NBM PAL). While NBM PAL offers fund administration, NBM Capital took over the investment function.

Pension Fund Management:
• We assist in setting up Stand-Alone Pension Funds.
• The setup is in line with Pensions Act 2010 requirements.
• Under the approach:
• Fund is registered with RBM.
• Clients appoint Board of Trustees (BOTs).
• BOTs are registered with RBM.
• Fund runs as an independent legal entity.
• Trustees assume ownership & authority.
